About ASE Prep

ASE Prep is an independent map of the ASE (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) certification family: 45 exams across ten test series, plus a personal recert-deadline tracker. It is a project of Urban Algorithm LLC.

ASE Prep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ASE. "ASE" and "National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence" are the marks of their owner and are used here descriptively, the same way a study resource can name the exam it helps you understand. The domain and brand are descriptive, not an ASE property.

What is out of scope: L1

One exam in the family, L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist, uses ASE's proprietary composite-vehicle reference materials. ASE Prep does not build any L1 page, matrix row, tool input, or practice content. It exists and is administered by ASE; that is the only fact stated about it here.

How we work with the data

The family matrix, the recert-mechanics reference, and the pay-signal dataset are compiled by us, each figure cited to its official source and stamped with the date it was checked. No test question, answer, or diagnostic scenario is copied or paraphrased from ASE, Motor Age, Delmar, or OpenExamPrep; the original practice bank is authored from scratch against ASE's public task-list outlines. When a number cannot be cleanly verified, we mark it pending rather than publish a guess.

How we make money

Right now, we do not. The tools are free and ungated, there is no email capture, and there is no paid tier. If we ever add a link that earns a commission, it will be clearly disclosed and it will never sit on the recommendation logic itself.
